Brown County, Wisconsin

Brown County is a county in North-East-Central Wisconsin.

The seat and Largest City is Green Bay. It is named for Jacob Brown, an American Officer during the war of 1812.

Originally it covered the eastern half of the state, and was one of two original Wisconsin Counties.
Since it contains the third largest city in Wisconsin, it contains the fourth highest population of any Wisconsin County.

It borders Oconto, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Calumet, Outagamie and Shawano Counties.

Main Highways include I-41 (US-41), I-43, US-141, WI-29, WI-32, WI-54, WI-57, WI-96 and WI-172.
